Coach Tom Miller played 3 sports at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, including being an all-conference selection in golf in 1967. He was elected to their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1983. Folks, this team was pick by NOBODY to do anything this year. They massivly over achieved. That is no excuse for the choke, but they did play .500 baseball during a stretch when the Twins played .800 baseball. Beside two little winning streaks, the Tigers were a .500 baseball team.

One of the greatest trades in Tiger history(Polly for Urbins, who in jail for murder in South America) He has been nothing but reliable both at bat and in the field. But he is getting older.
